My 9yo daughter just walked in wearing a red tank top with sparkles across the chest, denim shorts and a firework burst of blue at the back of her shockingly white hair. She’s ready, too!

1. eating outside
2. camping
3. Santa Barbara
4. slip -n- slide
5. going into the pool after swimming lessons with my son instead of staying out with all the other moms and their nice hair and make-up
6. ice cream cones
7. fireworks
8. no alarm clock all summer – is it even possible? I am determined to find out!

* take naps in the hammock
* bike! bike! bike!
* hike
* eat outside at our picnic table (doesn’t happen enough because the kids freak out about bugs – and they’re all teenagers!)
* visit outdoor ice cream trucks (Parfait or Molly Moon)
* camp
* get a pedicure and walk around in flip flops
* use our fire pit
and an extra – ENJOY my family (even though I’m getting slightly claustrophobic in our small house with everyone – even the college-professor husband – home at once – and so much more than I am!)

I just wanted add as well … I am in LOVE with your blog. It’s not often that you stumble upon a place that feels like home. I’m now off to explore your nest further.
