Random Dream #47b
I’m an idea generator. Always have been, always will be. Am I an executor of those dreams? Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. And most of the time, when I do get them done, it’s because they slip in sideways, without me even realizing. (For instance? I put “Sing with Polyphonic Spree” on my Mondo Beyondo list way back in 2007. Then in 2010 I found myself singing in a giant gospel choir. Not precisely the same, but close enough!)
I’ve been making Mondo Beyondo lists with Jen Lemen since 2007, and now you can make them with her too in a great Ecourse. (Warning: this course will shake up your life.) I haven’t made a Mondo Beyond list this year…maybe we’ll do it for *8Things next week. But today ideas have been dowloading faster than I can blink. So I decided I should just start recording them on the blog. You know…to see if any of them sneak in sideways. Or to see if someone wants to play. Who knows, maybe one of them is your dream to0? Maybe you have the missing piece to make it happen.
My dad has this habit of calling any change in plan “Plan 47b.” I’m sure I’ve had a least 47a plans before this. So let’s start the number with 47b, shall we?
Plan 47b: Glee Geurillas
As you know I am equal parts in-love with the soundtrack from Glee and the NYC-based troop Improv Everywhere. I propose a Mash-Up! Glee songs + Improve Style spontaneous musicals! The Glee Geurillas would take suprise concerts to public places. Imagine you are at the mall. One voice starts soloing the opening line from “Lean on Me”. Get to the chorus — 30 voices! Suddenly, the whole food court is singing along. Awesome! It wouldn’t take much, a short rehersal, everyone with the same version of their songs on their MP3 players maybe. If I ever get back to an English speaking nation I am SO DOING THIS!

A dream of mine is to self publish my poetry…and to be inspired enough to write new poetry…or to maybe embrace what I have already written and do spoken word again…and to have my lover come home and be well, and to sleep beside love.
I love this!
And I also love the way you approach your ideas, and your willingness to throw them out there and see what happens. To me, that’s a sure sign of someone living by the Spirit.
my random dream today? to make little flying girl (or other) sculptures out of sculpee, mount them on wood chunks, or whatever object I can find lying around and then sell them on my etsy shop.

my dream: women hold each other’s hands and hearts and support one another…and find out how to help most effectively our sisters’ and their daughters all over the globe…but starting right next door…b/c our lives and hearts matter…and b/c we can do more. hugs for all YOU do. :)
