Ahhhh ~ Time Traveller's Wife is a book I absolutely adore! Another book I love almost as much is The Book Thief.

My second favourite thing after books is book recommendations! I'll definitely check some of these out, and I'm looking forward to more additions of Magpie Girl Suggests.

A Prayer for Owen Meany is one of my favourite books, I think it's amazing.

Oh my! The parenting and childrens' books aside, we have a great deal in common on our bookshelves!

In terms of novels, I think you would enjoy The Road Home, by Rose Tremain. It's a story of transformation and new life, very gritty in parts but full of hope. Perhaps unusually for a female writer it has a male protagonist, who I found to be very well and fully drawn.
