It’s July! Time to travel!
While we wile away the days at my parent’s island home in Washington State, our neighbors in Denmark are packing for weeks and weeks of holiday. The city will feel like a ghost town while everyone in CPH bugs out to sunnier climes.
Chances are you’re going somewhere this summer. What *8Things do you never leave the house without? Give us your list for clever suitcasing– beach gear, art kits, portable medicine chests, or all supplies in between. Here are *8Things I always have in my portable art kit:
Tiny fiskars scissors (great for snipping collage things out of those free travel mags)
Glue stick
Sketching pencils, sharpener and art gum
Alphabet stickers and stencil
Tiny “toy” watercolor set
Sharpies
Mini stapler with colored staples
Gold and silver art pastels
(I’ve made everything from simple scrapbook pages, to altered postcards for exchanges with this kit. Once I even used the wallpaper at our hotel to make my dreamboard.)
What are your *8Things to Take on vacation? Share the goodliness of you listing yours in the comments below or grab a button and play along by adding your post’s permalink in the list below. Your suggestions add to the Giant Pool of Wisdom, forming now. Thanks for being here!
