As a fairly new ipod-user (thanks a & l), I think I put music on it once….before I became utterly and hopelessly lost to The Podcast. My favorite–until about 20 minutes ago–is Terry Gross’s Fresh Air, oh her shy giggle, smart questions, and encouraging “hmms”.

This morning, though, for some reason the deep recesses of my brain kicked in and kindly told me, “i think rachelle has a podcast too, you idiot.” I mean when I remembered, I then saw it everywhere (a lot of my life is spend blissfully forgetting important facts only to have them rush at me like ninja) Clickity clack and BAM! I have you talking in my earbuds. And it is a happy happy thing.

I’m new to those #things too. They are called hashtags. People can follow them, and see anyone post that has that tag in it.

This is how I use it:

I use TweetDeck to organize my tweeps. @artizencoaching just told me to click on the magnifying glass icon at the top, put in the hashtag I want to follow, and that creates a column that shows tweet posts with that hashtag. So right now I’m looking at the #wtj column and it’s showing me tweets with links or pics of everyone’s journal page for this week. (Well, everyone who’s tweeted thiers.)

I think you might also need to follow @hashtags. And if you don’t use TweetDeck, there is a webpage where you can look at everyone who’s using #wtj (for intance.) I haven’t used it yet but its http://twitter.pbworks.com/Hashtags

One more thing, if your updates are protected you can use hashtags, but only people who you’ve approved as followers will be able to see them.

So you know, I tweet, too. And I’ve seen things like #friday favs or something, but I don’t get what the # thing is?? So if I do a dreamboard and then tweet with #dreamboards and a link to my image, does that do something? Just if you have time/energy to explain…
