I feel like I am already super lazy. I lost my job and sometimes find it hard to get up and get dressed. I don't have kids and I love alone. Yet I am constantly asked "Wow, how do you get so much done??" I feel like a giant faker most of the time. Everyone else is so busy busy busy. In fact, it's like sharing war stories -- how many kids you have, how incredibly busy you are, how jam packed your life is. And me... when the circle turns to me I have nothing to say. Like today, I slept until 11am, was awakened by a phone call from a friend. Got up, got dressed, walked the dog, made a sandwich, ate it, watched 3 episodes of 24, then went out to meet a friend. We went letterboxing (which is SUPER fun), then out to eat, and then I came home, walked the dog, took a shower. Now I am reading blogs. My house looks like a pit, I haven't done laundry in weeks and I am scared of that smell in my fridge. I feel like I really need a shot of that DO DO DO hormone coursing through every other woman's veins bc seriously? It's not in me.

I love the idea of doing less - it's such a challenge in the fast-paced world to do less, and often comes with criticism or feelings of inadequacy. I think it's one of the best things we can do for ourselves. Good luck everyone! :)

I shall be following along from the 15th. I've nearly finished a first quick run through of Leo's book, to be followed up by actually doing (or should that be not doing??) what he recommends, so the timing is perfect.

OH .. I am 100% on the DO LESS bandwagon. I tried the 'do less' when we quit going to 'big church' and it's worked wonders. There is NO going back to being busy 3 or 4 evenings a week. No way! My kids are in very limited programing (read one thing or NONE). Sometimes I feel guilty or like I'm a bad mom or lazy or a slacker ... but mostly I feel really peaceful, and happy and know (in my heart) that I am doing the right thing and giving them (and me) a gift, by keeping our schedule so relaxed. This way we actually have time for each other, ourselves and our friends.

If you're not doing less .. try it. I'm guessing you probably will never look back.

Oh, excellent! This book has been sitting beside my bed for over a month waiting for me to dive into it -- perhaps this is the prod I need to do so and really take something away from it.
