K,

Yep, post your own list, then drop the link in the comments here if you'd like to generate a little link-love traffic. You can also click on the *8 Things button to the left of my posts, and add a button to a column on your blog. Then we are all linked up together!

I also keep a word file of *8Things lists, since I make WAY more than one a week. I rarely go back to write about any of them -- at least not intentionally. 'Tho a lot of the topics do show up on the page eventually. But knowing they are waiting there for me in case I ever run out of writing ideas makes me feel like I have a well-stocked pantry. And it defintely gets the ideas from chattering so noisily in my monkey mind.

Nice to have you with us!

Hey there! I just joined in on the 8 things - love it...great idea! I feel the same as you with so much swimming around in my head, it is hard to grasp hold of only a few things! This will help slow me down a bit! Do we simply look at your 8 things topic every thursday and then post our own and send to you? How does this all work?? I'm fairly new to the blog world! Thx.

As a 28 year old I agree 100% with everything on this list. Some I have done, some (ie. consumer debt) I wish I hadn't (I feel like it's weighing me down and I don't even have that much), in any case they are all very true.

I had to laugh at number 8: "Live at (or close) to Poverty Level" I am a graduate student. I am in my 10th year of post-secondary education and I have paid for all of it and lived away from home for most of it. This is the definition of my life. My car was built the year I was in grade 5. I have 6 different recipes for ramen noodles, several variations on from-a-box mac and cheese and consider a peanut butter and banana sandwich with a glass of milk a balanced meal. I know that this has made me appreciate every little thing I have so much more than those who graduated from High School with me who have had their parents shelter them from all of their financial woes (not that mine don't lend a hand when things get dire, but they aren't paying my rent for me and buying me cars).
