Sacred Life Sunday

A still life shot by Eden, age 10 at the Boboli Gardens in Florence.
Remind me each day
That the race is not always to the swift;
That there is more to life than increasing its speed.
Let me look upward into the towering oak
And know that it grew great and strong
Because it grew slowly and wise.

Lovely photo, Eden.
And Rachelle, you are wise and resilient like a tree. (Thank you for answering my question. I so much enjoyed your last two posts.)
Thank you for this lovely poem. What a great end to a Sunday night and a thought to bring into the new week.
This is such a cool photo.
