Don't forget massage! Oh, it feels so good to get cozy on the massage table and have someone lavish good, positive touch on you.
I liked following the links to the BlogHer and Minti posts too!

I am a winter baby, so I love the season. I suggest get winter decorations to keep past christmas. I decorate my apartment with snow men/women in all kinds of dress, have happy winter signs up everywhere. I open my windows to get fresh air every other day. Make sure I have the windows open to get all the sunlight I can. I take walks in my local park. I bundle up. It's beautiful being out in winter. Even if you do it for 15 minutes, it's a great pick me up. A lot of cities have now winter festivals to go to and enjoy.

I'm totally with you on making a plan to survive the winter. Last winter in the NW was soooo long! And summer too short. I'm going into this winter gritting my teeth.
Some things I'm planning on doing in the cold season is: drink hot cacao, eat spicy spicy garlicky food, catch up on movies at home, lots of crafting, dancing in people's houses during parties, and going to the studio to get a good dance work out.

When I lived in Copenhagen, I found the English-language books in the central library were fewer in number than in the States (of course), but it was good for me because I read things I wouldn't have otherwise. Try the Oxford collection of limericks, for example.

Also the greenhouses in the botanisk have. The warmth and humidity were lovely.

Thanks for the link to the book recommendations! I was needing some... I just ordered L'Engle's marriage memoir one for a penny (used) off Amazon. :) I also started using the tanning salon this past year... I don't know if it's the same kind of light as the happy light? But just getting really warm for a little bit helped a lot.
