I'm coming in on the tail end of this but my major finishing project this month has been about making my workspace into.... a space where I want to work. It's coming along nicely, well enough that I just finished a small sewing project. I won't talk about all the unfinished knitting around here, the quilts-in-progress, mosaics-to-be and what have you. I finished a flannel nightie for my little one and just in time as nights are growing chilly!

Elaine,

Painting is totally legit! Our kitchen was everything-but-the-trim painted for a year! I started it with my housemate and we gave up when we realized how much trim there was. Finally, by begruntled husband finsihed it up. :-)

Here's to finishing (however you can come by it!)

OK, I have a couple of non-knitting projects: painting and sewing. But it's a stretch to call them creative.

I have to apply the second coat of paint to my home office walls. And I need to hem about 5 pairs of pants. But I'll use this October Creativity Challenge as the impetus to get on with this work, which I actually enjoy. I started painting in November last year. For the past 11 months I've lived in a room with a combination of pewter grey [original paint], fern green [test colour], and cappuccino [final colour i like] walls. And those pants all have been hanging in the closet unworn for at least a year.

Oh, there's one more project I'm working on and a deadline would probably help because when it comes to gardening, I keep adding and rearranging plants but never quite reaching the stage where I can say "done." So by the end of the month, my goal is to complete my Autumn balcony garden.

As a non-knitter who loves hand-knit clothing I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's finished projects.

OK, Rachelle, I'm off to have fun painting the rest of this rainy day.

Yeah! What fun!

Anyone finishing a non-knitting project?

For those of you who are new to the Creativity Challenge, please go to the flickr pool and give us a picture of the unfinished, then the finished work.

Anyone who posts a pic of finished work will be in the prize drawing.

Have Fun!

I've just gone through a finishing flurry with my knitting so I can't pledge to finish anything knitted this month (though I might). I would like to finish a quilt I'm making that my older son designed for me. I need to baste, quilt and bind it.
