are any of you aware that the birds you display in your tattoos, and your “Magpie Girl” illustrations are actually SWALLOWS!!! Those are not magpies, they are a completely different bird family…..so sad.
Yeps. I know they are swallows not Magpies. I totally adore Magpie mythology. (Sometimes they’re naughty, sometimes their nice.) When I started my blog I was new to drawing and couldn’t manage a Magpie. But I could do an old skool tatt swallow. So that’s what I did. Fast and Dirty, get it done! Now it makes for a charming little funny story. Not sad at all, nope.
I’m actually getting another tattoo soon – all old skool symbols, including a swallow.
