Oh how I wish I had some fabulous insights to add, but I'm feeling a bit lame on this topic. I'm a fulltime freelance writer and editor without kids and not a lot of external responsibilities. And I *still* have trouble protecting my writing time. I work hard to meet client and article deadlines, but don't put the same effort into doing "my" projects. This post has me thinking, though. I need a list of tips. All good writers have tip lists. :)

This totally helped! I am an aspiring writer and my mom reads your blog and so she sent me this link. I never know when to start writing, or where or how to get people to leave me the hell ALONE so I can actually write! Wonderful post! Thank you!!!
